Out and about in Melbourne

18th to 22nd January 2012

PhotobucketHad a great time in Melbourne, Tegan had some time off work and showed me around a lot and we had a good laugh. Here's some of the stuff we got up to;

    Photobucket
  • went to Eureka tower observatory
    • second fastest lift I've been in - 88 floors in 38 secs
    • could see the F1 circuit
    • could see the tennis courts and arenas - saw some of the Australian open through the binoculars
  • went to federation square and watched tennis on the big screens
  • got a massive ice cream at Southbank, which almost killed us!
  • drove Michael's Aussie Ute
  • visited the shrine of rememberance
  • walked around the royal botanical gardens
  • took tram ride around city
  • played drunken pool
  • gatecrashed a party at 3am
  • had drunken motorbike lessons
  • went to Tegan's friends and family day for work (she is a pilot for Qantas) and saw their Boeing 767-300er
    • sat in the pilots seat
    • stood in the front of one of the jet engines
  • went to watch some of the Australian open on a ground pass
