Back to the western world!

3rd January 2012 to 10th January 2012 

After two 7ish hour flights I arrived in Sydney, knackered from being awake for who knows how long and travelling for about 16 hours, but relieved to be back in a warm country and able to communicate effectively again!

During 1 week in Sydney I did the following;

• Stayed in 1 good hostel and 1 bad hostel
• Saw the Sydney opera house
• Saw the harbour bridge and walked over it to get to Luna park
• Woke myself up clicking my fingers in my sleep
• Walked around Darling harbour
• Went up Sydney tower
• Saw the Royal botanical gardens
• Discovered that Burger King is called Hungry Jacks in Australia
• Took a ferry to Manly

• Played volley ball on manly beach
• Walked around north head
• Found Collins beach, which was awesome
• Repeatedly got drunk on cheap goon with complete strangers
• Went to Bondi beach
• Walked from Bondi beach to Coogee beach along a coastal path
• Went to the dentist and paid $160 dollars to have the tooth repaired that I cracked in India
• Went to the blue mountains

• Saw the "3 sisters"
• Walked down the "Giant staircase" (900 steps) only to find out that there was nothing down there  and that the last train from there back up left 3 minutes ago
• Walked up the "Giant staircase" in 13 minutes and almost passed out at the top
